Every Valentina bag is made to last. A little care keeps the leather looking its best for years.

Everyday care

• Wipe your bag with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dust and marks.
• Keep it away from direct heat and long periods in strong sunlight, which can dry and fade leather.
• Avoid contact with oils, perfume, make-up, hand cream and alcohol-based products.
• Light-coloured leather can pick up colour from dark denim and newly dyed clothing.

If your bag gets wet

• Gently blot (don't rub) the leather with a clean, dry cloth straight away.
• Fill the bag loosely with clean paper so it keeps its shape.
• Let it dry naturally at room temperature. Never use a hairdryer, heater or direct sun.
• Once fully dry, buff lightly with a soft cloth.

Stains and conditioning

• Never use household cleaners, wet wipes, solvents or abrasive materials.
• Every few months, apply a small amount of colourless leather conditioner made for smooth leather. Test it on a hidden area first.
• Suede and nubuck should only be cleaned with a soft suede brush. Do not use conditioner on them.
• For heavy stains, take your bag to a professional leather specialist.

Storage

• Store your bag in its dust bag, in a cool, dry place.
• Fill it with paper to hold its shape, and keep the strap or handles relaxed.
• Don't store it in plastic, as leather needs to breathe.
• Don't hang it by its strap for long periods.
